About Green Pudding Press
At Green Pudding Press, we believe children’s books should spark curiosity, build skills, and be so engaging that kids want to come back to them again and again.

We create beautifully designed picture books for children that blend learning and entertainment. Some teach important life skills, like the social-emotional learning (SEL) focus of our Bumper & McDog series. Others are simply here to delight and inspire, from imaginative adventures to skill-building stories for a variety of readers.

No matter the series or subject, every Green Pudding book is:
• Engaging and fun: written to hold a child’s attention from start to finish.
• Visually appealing: designed to feel special in a child’s hands.
• Thoughtfully made: built on storytelling and design you can trust.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Rich. I'm the writer, illustrator, chief imagination officer, lead doodler, head cook, bottle washer, and keeper of the snacks. My journey here is a little different from most children’s book creators.
Back in 2000, I had my dream job: Creative Director for Kids Online America, where we worked to advance children’s media in exciting new ways. I’ve always loved children’s stories, performing in kids’ plays, collecting picture books, even watching Sesame Street as an adult just for fun.
Then came two decades in the corporate world, where I worked for Fortune 500 companies that gave me experience and stability, although it also pulled me away from the children's stories that I love.
After a lay off, I saw the chance to go back to my roots. So I combined my skills in writing, illustration, people, and marketing with my lifelong love for children’s media and Green Pudding Press was born.
Our new series, Bumper & McDog, meets real needs in classrooms and homes by helping young children build social-emotional skills through fun, relatable stories. And while SEL is the DNA of every Bumper & McDog story, Green Pudding’s vision is bigger: to create many kinds of picture books that kids love and parents and teachers trust.
For me, Green Pudding Press is more than a business, it’s my way to put something good into the world, one story at a time.
